Cook! 20 Minutes to Gourmet at Home
As a subscriber to Daily Candy, I receive e-mails every day announcing local discoveries, sales and items they think I can’t live without. I skim most of these and toss them in the virtual recycle bin. But recently, one caught my eye.
Cook! SF is a business in San Francisco that shares our passion about getting families to eat delicious, healthy and seasonal food. While our service gives our customers menu plans (with recipes, grocery lists and tips to call the kids into the kitchen), her service delivers ingredients that have already been prepped and only need to be cooked! They come with simple instructions that guide you through the quick cooking process.
I contacted Nona, the owner of Cook! SF to see how we might be able to network and promote each other. Many of my clients are often interested in meal delivery services, so that they can still eat a healthy meal when they don’t have time to cook, themselves. And many of Nona’s clients wish that someone could tell them what to do, so that they can eat healthier on evenings when they don’t order in. It just may be a match made in heaven.
Nona sent my family a trial cooking kit this week and it was quite a treat! I had forgotten that it was coming, and was greeted at my door with a friendly delivery man. I immediately scrapped the plans that I had for our meal and made this one instead. The Seared Fennel-Dusted Tuna on Salad Nicoise was amazing. My daughter and son stole extra fish from our plates when we weren’t looking, and my daughter begged me to ask Nona how she made the delicious salad dressing. The roasted tomato soup was rich and flavorful and was an ideal accompaniment to the salad. We finished off the meal by sharing the generous portion of chocolate caramel brownies for dessert. Sigh. I think I am in love…
If you enjoy delicious food (and are too busy to prep / cook, don’t like to cook…or are just too darn tired to cook) I highly suggest that you give Nona’s service a try. And with her special Trial Offer, there is no reason not to! Order a trial cooking kit, including an entree, veggies, salad and dessert for 2 adults, for 30% off! She delivers to San Francisco and many other locations in the Bay Area on Wednesdays.
You can also “slice and dice your delivery charges!”. From now until February 28, you can save 50% on your delivery charge by persuading a colleague or neighbor in your delivery zone to sign up for a Cook! subscription. And when you save 50%, so do they!
Take it from my 7 year old daughter: “Nona makes the BEST food!” (I didn’t take offense to that, by the way!)
